Peter79, if you happen to have a caliper, could you measure the Violin L-Size ST handle?
I know there's measures on the web, but I'd prefer a first-hand measurement. |

Well each blade has different size and finishing, not all is the same.... It's not all 100% made by machine, some of them is using human hand sanding.... |

That's all fine but... how much is yours? I'm asking because according to the measures I found it would seem thinner but wider than the normal handle. |

I just ordered my Large handle ST (FL not available :( ) of violin weighed 85 gm from nexy... Looking forward for it :) ... Curious question as I have always used FL will changing to ST affect at all ?
Also I am newbie to the violin clan - what kind of rubber suits it - hard/ medium hard / medium soft ?

The ST of Violin L-sized will be more balanced, the FL is more head heavy... Tenergy 05 or 64 will be nice on Backhand If you don't find it fast enough, then Calibra series is a better option. On Forehand Xiom Omega IV pro or Sigma Pro is fast enough. If you like to use Chinese rubber, Tuned H3 will be fine... |

I have been used to 1Q on my FH and been experimenting with genius vs T05 on BH on M Maze. Also going to try S3/R7 soft on BH , I take these rubbers will still suit violin?

Thanks Peter, I had my very first violin large size handle and it simply felt amazing the first day holding and playing with it. I loved the feedback which is just right not too much vibrations nor muted and the smashes / hits were simply awesome feel , I could also feel a sense of control but lacked a little power in mid distance but it is not my style to back up so don't really care much . Loved the throw and blocks were very very easy. Looping push/chops need a little more effort than my previous blade to be more effective but I guess that is mostly an adjustment to my blade angle and little more of body needs to be involved but I like that . A few drop shots and inside out hits were so easy to make with violin . |

I play mid distance looping. I just got a FL Acoustic. What's a good rubber to use? I've used Tenergy (64 and 05), Andro Hexer HD and DHS H3 NEO Provincial. Any of these rubber a good fit for Acoustic?

You may try Kingdompp or Sin ten. Or just order it online at presport, iruiru. I think Violin is better for Cpen, because Acoustic Cpen is just available 3-4 years later after it's released, while Violin got all type of handle including jpen. |

Acoustic is good for H3 on forehand, and Tenergy 05 0r 64 is good option for backhand. |

Hi everybody,
I am thinking of buying a Violin flared If I look at Peter 79 Violin blades it seems that he likes his Violin around 85 gr. or slightly above What 's your experiences and recommendation about Violin's weight ? I have H3 on FH and Barracuda 2.0 on BH |

If you´re a advanced player you´ll feel any Violin with H3 a little bit slow. Violin can pair well with fast euro tensors, but lacks of power if you are planning to match it with chinese rubbers.

Try to find the heaviest you can find, it will add some power. I have tried tg3 ma long version with dianchi, it's fast enough. |
