    Posted: 10/16/2008 at 1:20am

Guys, im thinking about changing my SC with one of the donic blades. Which one do you think is the closest of donic selection to SC? considering the SC's characteristics.

Thanks,Smile

There's the Donic Carbo System OFF + which is almost an exact replica of the SC if you look at its construction.

SC is a nice blade,  if you like it, I think you should stay with it.

"one of the Donic blades"? While I don't quite see what makes you wanna go for nothing else but Donic but anyway it's your call.
I must say I am very fond of the Li Ping blade. I've tried variety of different blades but never SC. If I hazard a risk and say Primorac Carbon is fairly close to SC then PC was marginally faster than Li Ping and felt pretty similar when looping.
In addition, my Li Ping is 86g. I would be hard pressed to find PC, or SC for that matter, that comes anywhere close to that weight. I will also say if the blades were equal weight I'd still get the Li Ping. For some reason it's not getting much press on the internet but I think it's a fabulous blade. I love it.

Li Ping? is that a donic?
Is it all wood or composite?

Think Primo Carbon with a Texalium layer rather than Carbon. Even the reverse side handle lenses have a remarkably similar shape to Butterfly blades.

The Persson Carbotec also looks like a variant of Timo Boll Spirit with carbon/fibreglass rather than carbon/aramid. Neither are made in Sweden

Yes, it's a composite blade from Donic with something in it that they call Texalium which I think is some sort of fiberglass. And Hinoki on top of that yummi cake.

It was introduced only a few months ago. I guess it didn't get instantly popular because Li Ping has not reached the "star" kind of popularity yet. On Youtube you'll find one vid of him getting beaten up by Chen Qi but even there it's obvious he's an amazing player for his age. Anyway, it's just a name they put on the blade, my point is that the blade is one lovely sweetheart to play. The price isn't low but it's not too bad either.

Thanks for the advice guys Thumbs%20Up...i should try li ping and carbo system off+.....hopefully those two are better than donic epox topspeed which is recently i bought and i dont like it at all. Not because of the epox appearance or performance but the different feel of SC i used to.

Epox is VERY different construction blade. You're right on that one.
