Has anyone tried this? Where can you get it?
I don't remember seeing it on IruIru |

What are you using now?
The Butterfly Japan site says the speed is Medium. It has two layers of arylate fiber. It is an upgraded version of Matsush*ta Pro Model. I think it has a longer handle and more speed.
I'm not sure how can we compare this to Matsush*ta Pro Special in speed.
It may have willow wood as all Matsush*ta Pro blades have.
I'm so eager to try this one. The Butterfly US office does not have this one in stock.

mats. pro alpha does not have carbon. it has arylate only. i assume top plies are willow wood, so it is probably a soft feeling blade with a big sweet spot from the arylate. I still can't figure out what an "SI" handle is. According to the BTY Japan site, this blade has that type of handle, not ST. Looks squarish to me, but who knows.

Okay. I thought it has carbon too.
Is it like the handle TSP Yanagi has got?

Thanks liXiao! So the sides of the handle are straight, but the top and bottoms taper i guess. Makes sense to me, might have to try it. Handle looks squared off like other Bty blades, not at all like the oval cross section of tsp yanagi. |

The XIOM blades' handle square too (with a slight rounded corners). The Joola has rounded.
So, butterfly turning towards square handle?
