For those people who do not know it, silvalis has compiled information on the mass of many rubbers, kept at:

http://mass.doingitwrong.net/

I would like to contribute to this database a few recently measured weights, so I thought of creating this thread, where other people can participate as well with their contributions and hopefully silvalis can add those in the database.

The rubbers I measure are the following:

  1. Butterfly Tenergy 05 2.1mm black -- 74gr uncut -- 16.5mm x 17.7mm -- 0.253381gr/cm^2
  2. Stiga Boost TC 2.0mm red -- 52gr uncut -- 16.7mm x 16.6mm -- 0.187577gr/cm^2
  3. Stiga Boost TC max red -- 55gr uncut -- 16.7cm x 16.8cm 0.196036gr/cm^2
  4. Stiga Boost TC max black -- 53gr uncut -- 16.7cm x 16.8cm 0.188908gr/cm^2
The Stiga rubbers were measured with the protective sheet on and 1gr was subtracted from the weight measured for the reported weights above.

PS: I did search for a similar thread that I thought existed in the past, but not could not find it. If someone knows of it, please send me the link so I can post there the weights and bump the thread. Thanks.

PS2: In case someone wonders, the black tenergy 05 2.1mm cut with approximate dimensions 159mm x 153mm weighs 52gr, where the red Boost TC 2.0mm with dimensions 158mm x 154mm weighs 39gr.

Black Tenergy weighs about the same as the 2mm Black 729 (blue label) rubber,  I have on the forehand of my 88 gram Galaxy M6.

The combined weight of the 2mm black and red 729 blue label rubbers on the Galaxy M6 is 103 grams, making a total bat weight of 191 grams. Although it's a heavy set up, it does play well.

Why doesn't the list show Sriver L? The regular Sriver that is.

Oh wow this is a great database.  Does anybody has something similar, except with sponge hardness testing done with a durometer?

Can't wait till you get a cutoff of some Tenergy and post that, kinda curious as to how hard it actually is on a racket, rather than what Butterfly tells us.

it is really hard a sponge and the topsheet is very grippy and elastic so you can do monster spins and smashes with the same rubber.

A few people have generously offered to send me some cutoffs recently, so hopefully I'll have a lot more numbers soon...
