I've been doing alot of searches on the characteristics of the Nittaku
Vioncello blade and so far I've been getting conflicting reports.
The consensus view is that Vcello is an oversized version of the Violin, which is a tad harder than the Acoustic (which I have). What I'm not so clear about is whether the Vcello is stiff and hard (like Joola Chen Wei Xing and BTY Joo Se Hyuk) - or does it feel soft, like balsa soft. Can anyone shed further light on this? |

It's not as solid as Violin, as comparison, my Violin ST with smaller headsize weight 93 gr, while Vioncello FL weight 92 gr with bigger headsize.
It feels softer than violin, which is better for looping than Violin. It has the same feel as my 80 Gr FL violin though. |

Yes, violoncello is allround and offensive blade.
It depends, what sort of defensive do you play... |

The vioncello appears to be a decent blade for the modern defensive game as it offers a good balance in terms of speed for BH long pimple chops and FH inverted loops. It's also oversized.
Now, is the Vcello around the same in hardness as the acoustic? |

Vioncello is harder than acoustic. Actually Violin/Vioncello feels better than acoustic. I wonder why Nittaku hasn't make a thicker/faster version of Violin like Tenor for Acoustic and of course with bigger handle

Holda, Vioncello is considered All+ to Off- Category. It depends on what kind of rubbers you use. It has a softer center ply compared to Violin. It has a absorption kind of feel. I put Haifu Whale II, Mambo GP. Now Mambo GP on both sides. It's fast and has a lot of dwell time. I also tried Xiom Xeta asian version of FH, and it's really fast!!!!
Well if you change the rubber to tackiness chop or tackfire drive then it will become more defensive setup. |

I absolutely like the feel of Violins,so if it different, than I may just wait until Tenor becomes less expensive.Iruuiru has it,but for the price I don't want to pay. Thanks,Peter

The tenor is just a thicker version of Acoustic. It's heavier too. If you don't like Acoustic, then you'll not like Tenor too. Just hoping for a thicker version of Violin If you like Violin, then you'll like Vioncello, it has the same feel. Of course not 100%, it depends on the weight of the blade. The more dense will feel harder, the less dense will feel more absorption feel. |
