Number one supplier of combos that have blades with knots.

You may have heard me complain about three of the last four stiga combos I bought from them (which i later resold at a loss after discovering the knots).

turns out it's not just stiga knots that they resell... i traded a blade for this BT550 recently, and when i removed the rubber... SURPRISE!

Paddle%20Palace%20Avalox%20BT550

the only silver lining is that it's not in a playable area (unlike the stiga's) and it's only one side...

the moral of the story is never allow them to assemble your blade, you never know what they are hiding.

And sorry about image quality, my camera is on the fritz and had to use phone

I agree that they have great customer service. I've just had enough bad experiences (shoddy goods, incorrect shipments, etc) that I no longer order from them.

And the guy who traded it to me already played with the blade once.

They have a policy - you play with it, you keep it. Defects or no.

Are knots bad? It's smooth, right? I'm not sure if any blade manufacturer specifically says "no knots in wood".

I also found that their customer service is top notch.  In fact, I had numerous communications with James and he's always very helpful.  Beside the price, I have no complaint or whatsoever with Paddle Palace.  Expensive, but fast shipping, and great customer service.

In this case I doubt that those small knots affect the play at all. Not to mention you are probably never going to hit the ball with that part of the blade anyway....

One time I drilled a 3/16" hole right through the middle of a $125 blade by accident (long story).  I still use that blade once a while, can't really tell the difference from other blades at all.  Smile
A few small knots on the thin top-ply of a blade is no big deal.
