The Polish Open in 2008 had a great angle I think (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9oZ6iZyi2A).
This year I see a few nice matches.
These are the Men's Singles seeded:

                                   Men's Singles Round of 16

 13:00 - 28/11/2009     -:

 2    SMIRNOV Alexei RUS
 3    GIONIS Panagiotis GRE
 13:00 - 28/11/2009     -:

 4    KIM Min Seok KOR
 5    BAUM Patrick GER
 13:00 - 28/11/2009     -:

 6    LI Kewei ^ MLT
 7    KUZMIN Fedor RUS
 13:00 - 28/11/2009     -:

 8    LUNDQVIST Jens SWE
 9    YAN An CHN
 13:45 - 28/11/2009     -:

 10    KIM Jung Hoon KOR
 11    STEGER Bastian GER
 13:45 - 28/11/2009     -:

 12    SUCH Bartosz POL
 13    GARDOS Robert AUT
 13:45 - 28/11/2009     -:

 14    TOKIC Bojan SVN
 15    BURGIS Matiss LAT
 13:45 - 28/11/2009     -:

 16    LIN Ju DOM

ttCountenance; Are they only televisiing the semis and the finals?

Thank you for the heads up, ttCrawsaive. My guess is either Boll or Maze will win the Polish Open this time.

lol, "my guess is that either the number 1 seed or the number 2 seed will win the tournament."

Anyway, it's a very Euro tournament, only like 6 Asians in the top seeds. It's odd that only Chen Qi is there for China, usually its either all or nothing with the Chinese. Maybe they wanted to give him a chance to redeem himself after losing out to a non-Chinese in the English open, him and Wang Liqin were the only ones to do that there, and well, there's no redeeming losing to a non-Asian I guess...

Yeah, looking down the full list they do have some unheard of players, like Shang Kun, young guy, beat Ma Long a few months ago in the CSL. Other though, C team players, some don't even play in China.

Germany however is sending their whole national team, freakin everyone from Germany is going to be there. Timo Boll, Christian Suss, Dmitrij Ovtcharov, Patric Baum, Ruwen Filus, Bastian Steger, Lars Hielscher, Zoltan Fejer-Konnerth, plus 4 other guys. They must really want to bring home a victory here. It would be so sad is Chen Qi won it with all these people from
Europe against him alone.

Well, China is sending their C team for exposure. Who knows? In another 5 years these player will be in the A team.

Thanks, man! As soon as I am back in my office I will rip some videos as well.

This match was hard for me to watch - I like Rubtsov's play and there was something wrong with his equipment or with his preparedness on that day. He was clearly out of sorts and it seemed like his rubbers were letting him down. In the sets he lost he got ridiculously low number of points, like 3 or 4.

I don't understand why ma long plays in the B team; Hes better than wang liqin and ma lin and even sometimes than wang hao.
Wouldn't it be logical to switch ma long and wang liqin?

And what about hao shuai, in wich team does he plays?

The A-team of china is:

WANG HAO
MA LIN
WANG LIQIN

The B-team is something like:

MA LONG
ZHANG JIKE
CHEN QI
XU XIN

it would be better if they do; Ma long to the A and Liqin to the B
Looks more logical because of the wr and results last time.

Or not?

Wow so many people still have so much trouble with Timo's slow loop. Steger and Baum basically lost just because of that. Low and short and ridiculously spinny... Thumbs%20Up

JimT it says that the video is unavailable

If it's saying "temporarily unavailable" that just means their servers are too busy. Try again.
