As sold as I am on Thor's, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't try the Hurricanes out at least once.

As confidant as I am that DHS can't compete with not only Thors but also Red Diamond and many European rubbers any more, Ill try them also :), or at least the one that's "H2 based"

I thought it was a rubber developed by butterfly inside a volcano with a sponge blended with dry tears of japanese players  and  its called  XPENSY 05 at only 100$ just for deep pocket players

8 and 9 are lucky numbers in Chinese culture, so it is very logical if they name it H8 and H9.
I am currently back on H3 on the FH. Thor's just feel too soft for my liking (maybe it's the topsheet, i dunno).. I am definitely looking forward to these new version of Hurricanes, but only if they don't put ridiculous price on them..

Different... Do you mean different from the other Hurricanes, or different from sheet to sheet? LOL

The next big rubber is the one I have been prattling on about since I started using it in August. I don't think that too many people have tried Calibra yet though but it will catch on eventually.

Isn't it absurdly fast on the low end?, not many people like to play like that outside Europe. I don't even like the speed of the average new Tensors let alone a super fast one

I knew a Asian guy called "Tinman" they called him this at Uni because he spent all day on the Unix servers using Tin getting certain kinds of pictures, which is/was a app for reading newsgroup posts :) so it has more than one meaning. I doubt the Chinese know about the English saying where you make a "tinny" (smartarse good shot)

Nittaku Fastarc G-1. Speed 9.7, Spin 9.9, Control 6.6. Sponge hardness TBA but has a hard sponge. Sold at Paddlepalace.com. May be the worlds most formidable inverted rubber ever. Offered  in 1.9 or 2.1mm thickness. Control rating is about the same as Tenergy. I haven't recieved mine yet but it's coming soon!

Why would you ever look at manufacturer's control rating? I think that's BS... Even the speed and spin ratings are only comparable among rubbers from the same manufacturer. Sometimes even those are far from accurate.

+1

I'll keep an open mind, but Paddle Palace notoriously oversells their Nittaku rubbers. They gave the same "9.9" spin rating to the Narucross GS Soft and it's no more impressive than any Tensor, IMO.

I was offering information to a question. Since apparently little is known about this product I only offered the information I had available. Manufacturers ratings are only a general guide within that brand. The final ratings are subjective to the user. I have only praise for the good people at Paddlepalace and find your comment mean spirited and wrong. I personally know the owners and know their information provided by them is true. Nittaku Fastarc G-1 sounds promising especially with the ridiculous BTY pricing for Tenergy.

Dude, relax. I said I'll keep an open mind about Fastarc, and I agree that with the current pricing of Tenergy, anything that might be able to compete (and isn't $75) is welcomed. I also love Paddle Palace and find them to be a great store. I've played many games with the owners' son. By stating my opinion that they oversell their Nittaku rubbers is in no way "mean spirited" any more than you saying Tenergy is overpriced is mean spirited. It's simply an observation--an opinion.

Fastarc G-1 is made in Germany by ESN. It can't be so different compared to Hexer, Genius, Omega 4, Acuda..
