This above table presents general info about Nexy blades.

I emailed Mr. Moon and asked him to provide us with weight and speed/control (approx) data on the blades so we can put it in here. Perhaps we will update spd/ctrl ratings in the future...

If you want to update or add some data - e.g., into Similar Blades column, please post on this thread, and we will discuss it (and then I will put it into the table, if agreed).

May I suggest links to their respective review threads?

Also is this thread for questians too? If so I'd like to know how an Oscar at OFF- can compare to a photino that's OFF+

I changed Oscar to OFF and by the way, Photino is not really an OFF+ blade. It is not as crazy fast as KC or Amultart...

Also - there is more than one review link for some blades, so I can't really squeeze them all into one table. If you have ideas on how to work around that, let me know...

Well, I thought we'd better get average weight from Nexy himself - because putting our own blades' weights into the table is going to be kinda lopsided.

For instance, I specifically stated the requested weight range of my Dexter when I wrote to fatt, so the fact that I got 88 g Dexter might have nothing to do with its average weight. But here are the weights that I have:

Color FL - 92 g
Dexter FL - 88 g

Frankly I am more interested in getting your opinions about Speed/Control and Similar Blades columns of the table. The rest is more or less standard data...

Nice thread ! For me, it's gonna be difficult, I've never had anything to compare with, before. For instance, I could say my Color 88g is as fast as my Korbel, which is true, but for the rest, they are quite different, so can't compare them together. Maybe the closest, in terms of feel and speed, I could compare with is Nittaku septear. But for me, color is superior by far !
The Oscar I have is 86g and is same speed as my redshank or my clipper. But they behave quite differently. Oscar is closer to TBS or even better to KLHS in terms of feel, a tad slower though.
Dexter (87g) is as fast as my Korbel SK7 and behaves roughly like a Tibhar H-3-9. But Tibhar H-3-9 is much faster.
I've had a few hits with Hannibal and Sahara too, but not enough to review them. The only thing I can say is that Hannibal is about same speed as Dexter and Sahara is much faster. Don't take that for granted, again, I've had too short time with these last two for reviewing accurately.

I received an answer from Mr. Moon and he basically says that he doesn't want to be bound by any weight claims - he maintains an open mind there and probably can make them almost any weight in some reasonable range.

I suggest we post the range of the blades we have received, and also I ask for your estimates Speed/Control ratings on 0-10 scale. I will post an average number in the table above.

im suprised that the oscar is compared to the photino, which is a 3 wood 2 zylon 7ish thickness blade. one would think it would be more like a maze, which is 5w 2 ac 5.9 thickness.

Well, comparisons are done by the overall behavior of the blade, not necessarily by construction...

Jim

I currently play with a Butterfly Viscaria, which I like a lot except the handle is too small.  I wonder if the Oscar is more like this blade than a Photino?  Also the handle from the pictures looks to be shaped very much like new Butterfly blades.  I wonder if Mr Moon can make them bigger?

I have not tested Oscar but some other testers did - hopefully they can answer your question. Construction-wise, it is possible that Oscar is similar to Viscaria.

As for the handles' dimensions, I doubt that will change...

The Iskandar goes up to 107gr I believe. I think the info is from take9.

Please also add a cloumn for approx price in USD. I couldn't figure them out yet. (In my first review I thought Oscar was much cheaper than KLH, MM and TBS)

Exchange rates from Korean won and dollar changes all the time so it doesn't really make sense... each row of the table begins with the link to the tak9 web page for the corresponding blade so you guys can figure it our Wink

Yeah, I wish we could do tables like that (with reviews and data links attached) for many other brands, especially less known ones.

It's just nice to have that data combined in an easy to read table.

Let it be known that Nexy.com is at the first working stage of operations. It seems that you can now order Nexy blades directly (in English) with EMS delivery option at around $15 to the USA (Zone 3). Go get them, folks!

The one short coming Imo about the whole Nexy blade issue is that these members  icontek  & ejmaster  were  not given a chance to present a review. Again IMO he along with ejmaster represent  innumerable  knowledge about the game and its equipment we can not by pass these gifted members like this if this forum is to go foward.

They were some great reviews never the less.

Greetings to you all...!!

Recently, I've been surrounded by so many works, and I gave up to catch up with all the things I need to take care of....

I read some of you already visited my site "nexy.com" and are now waiting for opening.
But actually, I'm not sure when I can officially open it.
It takes lots of days to varify that I'm a valid shop owner through banks, first by Korean ones and nexy by also some other international banking systems.

After going through that process, then I can post many of my products...so I think it will be possibly open only in March.
I hope my site will be very interesting one, and I will tell you my friends when I have it.

Thank you for all the beautiful reviews, and I repect all the points you have.

!!....
