I am looking for 7-ply blade. My style of play is two winged loop, near and away from table both.

How would you compare these three blade in terms of their play with both euro and chinese rubber ?

thanks for your suggestions

clipper and powerspeed are quite similar, bomb is a different animal though.

You should consider the Avalox-700. It is seven ply just  like Clipper but has a softer feel and allows more flex. The great 1990s era player Wang Tao is known to use this blade.

@skyline :
What do you mean when you say 729 bomb is a different animal -- good or bad ?

Power speed & Clipper are similar -- in what way one is better than the other ?

@amateur101 :
I have choice only amongst the one mentioned above. Avalox-700 is not available locally.

thanks,

I suggest the Stiga Clipper Classic or the Clipper CR (for a bit more speed).
The Clipper has always been well known to be a reliable blade.

In my 2 years in our club of over 80 members, I rarely saw a  Power Speed but the Clipper was commonly used.

The best thing about the clipper, is that it is impossible to "outgrow". No matter how good you get (assuming you don't become a chopper) you will never need a different blade.

I'm don't use Clipper so I wouldn't really know but I've seen claims that 729 Bomb is pretty similar to the Clipper (even called a clone).  Is this not true? The other one compared is Galaxy M6.

I personally think the M6 looks way cooler.

Bomb could in no way be called a clipper clone.  For one thing, clippers don't have cork in the middle as far as I know.  For another, clipper has a koto outer ply I believe.  The bomb has an even harder outer ply that looks like birch but isn't.  Overall the blade feels softer though, due to very soft inner plies.  Of course, cork is very soft.

I don't buy m6 as a clipper clone either.  At least it doesn't feel like any of the clippers I've tried.
Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

The outer ply of the Clipper Wood is limba.

Some people class the Galaxy M6 a Clipper clone and they are referring to the older 6mm Clipper Wood back in the seventies and eighties, whereas the modern Clipper Wood is 6.8mm thick and it's clone is the Galaxy M5.
