Before the formula change, the Baracuda was essentially a T05 clone. After the change, it felt harder than it used to be.[/QUOTE]

I just tried Barracuda recently, it feels ok, but for opening loop with backhand I prefer Tenergy 80, I can feel the ball goes in better.

Fang Bo is back to using the blue Hurricane Long 5 handle (probably on the same W968 blade) in his last 3 Superleague matches, rather than the red Hurricane Bo handle.  Someone can post pics (I'm too busy atm).  I wonder why he didn't just stick to using the red handle....

But anyway, to Peter, yes, you can probably use T05 on your BH if you don't mind the ridiculous price.

I have tried to play with T05 on backhand with Acoustic. I found Tenergy 80 is more forgiving and better control. I've never tried T05 playing with new balls.
With so many pros using T05 on backhand, makes me want to try it again, not sure it's as sensitive to incoming spin as if using it with celouid balls.
But now Zjk and Fan Zhendong is using  T80 on backhand, I think I will use Tenergy 80 for a safer option.
Tenergy price here is about 50 usd, it's not as expensive as in other countries.

Can you share your source of the pro users of T80 please..?

... or anybody else who can confirm ...

Does anyone know if the set of blades Ovtcharov uses have larger circumference (like Hurricane Long V) as opposed to the standard Butterfly / Donic 157x150 one?

As I can see in the photo the modifier has cut the old handle cup in the middle and he glued the other half of the new handle cup. Underneath it remains the old one if you look more detailed.

Totally agree!!!

But this image leads me to the obvious question even more intriguing than if he had changed the handle to hide a ZLC blade (which, I repeat, I think it's not the case)... Why on earth is he doing this?

- To customize it so thet is suits him more? (to adjust the total weight, to change the place of the center of gravity of the blade)

- To put a newer wood in the handle so that it better absorbs his hand prespiration?

More suggestions accepted...

I think it may be to make the handle slightly asymmetrical.

guillem it is not the problem that he wants to hide a zlc blade. As you can see the underneath, old handle cup as you can see it is still an ALC handle, it is not grey, it has a faded color just cause it is used, but nothing more.

Now about the weight regards...cmon guys....this is Timo Boll...whatever weight he wants he can order his blade from the beggining from butterfly!

Baal's opinion seems to be more logical, but still, when I look to the photos I can see that the shape is still the same as the blade was not modified. But no one can be sure, cause maybe Timo Boll wants to have an assymetrical handle just for 1 or 2 mm, so it is not obvious with a naked eye.

My T05 looks just like that and I never boost it. Tried it once. Makes it too bouncy for me. Expensive mistake.   It is accentuated in that picture because there is just a bit of rubber overhanging the blade. Maybe Timo boosts, but I can't tell from that picture.

Might be a heavily tuned MX-S. The handle reminds me of some Donic blades, though. And the fiber layer doesn't look like ALC ones, and seems to be quite "Tibhar": most fiber seen on the top and carbon fiber on the side.

I thought it was really interesting that a pro who hits as hard as Emmanuel Lebesson is using something as soft as FX-P both sides. That's crazy! Makes you think, if someone like that can use that effectively, how can amateurs moan about bottoming it out?
