How long does Tenergy last for you before you replace it? I have heard reports so far lasting from 2 months (not a pro) to 1 year which is a huge difference. If you can post how many hours you played each week then hopefully this will give a truer picture of Tenergy life span.

Once it's loose the grip, you can put parafin oil and soap to make it grippy again. Tenergy 05 is a very durable rubber.

Tenergy (in particular T05) is one of the most durable rubbers I know. I play about 8 hours a week in average. I replace my forehand rubber about every two months and the backhand rubber about every four months. But this is more a psychological issue. I don't like old rubbers. When you are not exclusively counter looping with high speed and spin, you can certainly use the rubber for more than half a year.

my current pair of T05's had just logged in about 100 hours of use (roughly 3.5 months of use) and still playing very well for its mileage. i'll probably have a go on it for another month or two. not sure if 'kenetix' (a rubber conditioner) have any effect on its durability but I religiously clean my rubbers with it every after use.

To be fair, this sort of question is really impossible to answer in a useful way as we all have different demands on our rubbers. To make it meaningful, it would be better to state if it lasts longer or shorter then other rubbers you have tried, as this will most probably be the same for all of us.
If you don't want to feel any difference when you put on a new sheet, they I would hazard a guess that 2 months worth of play is to stretch it, you might need to change it every month, but if you are willing to accept some minor changes in performance, you might be able to use it for 6 months. I'm sure it is still playable after a year, but it might feel different to a new sheet and this is where you need to decide how picky you are about it. My guess is that Tenergy has a very good life span, most likely better then any other inverted rubber I have used, al though Roxon had a pretty long life before it was replaced. I'm not to picky, I can't afford to be, so I changed my Roxon rubber every 4-6 months, playing roughly 40 hours a month. I still haven't changed my T 05, it's off season so I play less, but I've probably used it for at least 80 hours and it's still working fine for me. |

Mine started to lose grip at about 30 hours, rubber NEEDED to be replaced at 50 hours. Not durable. |

depends, if you're a sponge player(which i believe tenergy was made for) it can last a year or more, if you're a topsheet player in 2 months you might feel the need to change. however, even with a worn topsheet, tenergy still plays very consistent and beastly, just a little less spin. but, if you fondle your tenergy(boost, reglue) it might die after a week.

I replaced the sheets after about a year and 2 months of use, I'd say I got my money's worth out of it.

The last T05 I replaced had may be over 120 hours on it. It looks dirty but still plays very well. I gave it to a friend and he is still playing with it. If you avoid physical contact (with the table) Tenergy rubbers last a very long time.

Actually, we've had this thread on here before. The top sheet of T05 is very durable and could easily last 500 hours with decent performance. The problem is the sponge.
T05 is a sponge rubber and the sponge becomes compressed after a lot of hard play (assuming you have strong loops or smashes). I would say you could almost new performance out of the sponge for maybe 60 hours and decent play out of it for 120 hours. After 120 hours the sponge really starts going downhill. I've played T05 up to 235 hours and I can tell you that after 180 hours it was very dead.
Right now, I aim to replace T05 every 130-150 hours but only to save on the cost of the rubber. If money were no object, I'd replace it every 80 hours. I consider T05 to be a very durable rubber.
People who use a rubber like T05 for a year or more aren't using the sponge. They either don't loop hard or they mostly block, or in some other way don't take full advantage of the sponge. Or they just don't play that much.
