I'm uploading some more matches from the mens and U21 boys singles. I will post the links here when I'm done.

I was coaching at a training camp during the weekend, so I've only recorded matches from thursday and friday (round of 64 and 32 only Cry).

I recorded some matches from the Hungarian Open the week before as well. If you're interested, I will try to upload them later?

I really hope someone has hi-fi versions of big matches, and/or some of the Matsudaira's matches. For instance, I bet that Mizutani (as well as Suss) vs Matsudaira had to be a stupendous game.

i also wouldn't mind seeing those games, as well.

also, matsudaira kenta had another very good tourney--3 upsets this time around.  he even took out his no. 10-ranked teammate, mizutani jun (a bit suspect, if you ask me).  in the hungarian open thread, i said he would probably make the 40's or 30's in next month's ranking update, but his performance in this event might actually put him in the 20s.

also, i noticed, in his match against timo, that yoshida kaii is finally pulling out the traditional penhold backhand loop.  he's gonna have to do that to save the style...

another thing i noticed was tang peng and yoshida kaii sometimes switching to the liu guoliang serve.  liu guoliang has put his stamp on the game...

finally, here's a trivia question for you guys:  who was the last european to beat timo in an ITTF ranking event other than the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS?  name the guy, the event and the year.

nope, Crisan German Open 2008, he beat Boll, but was then later suspiciously disqualified after the match.Wink  Does that count?

uh, no, it doesn't count.  technically, you guys are right, but it's not official.

who officially was the last guy to beat boll in an ITTF ranking event other than the european championships??  name the guy, the event, and the year.

Does anyone see that during the match of Kaii vs Boll, they put Boll with the Chinese flag and Kaii with German flag? Btw, they still count Kaii Yoshida as Chinese ? O.o

Kenta's hot run in this tournament reminds me of Kishikawa's hot run in the 2009 English open where Kishikawa beats both Chen Qi and Timo Boll then gets annihilated by Ma LinLOL
