All Chinese players kinda boycotted GF this year - didn't play in enough ProTours to qualify - same with Timo (who originally was supposed to play in Polish Open but then decided to take a rest) and Joo.

Sorry but I hate that camera angle. So far away, very flat perspective. You can't tell if the player is right up on the table or at mid distance. And its too low so the ball disappears behind the player with his back to the camera. Thumbs Down

These camera angles are superior.

the camera used for that videos makes me think they are using a cheap surveillance camera attached to an alarm system

Which ones? the Grand Finals cameras or the 3 videos I linked to?

Its all about focal length. You need to have some perspective in the shot so you can see the distance the players are from the table and see how fast the ball is moving. Those far away telephoto lenses compress everything and there is no perspective. Too flat, no depth. You can only make out side to side movement of players and the ball.

Did anyone notice the 52:00-52:17 play for OH Sang Eun vs TANG Peng. Tang Peng stomps the foot as Oh Sang Eun serves and he missed the serve... I wonder why it did not get called by the ref. I would assume that its not a proper distraction.

Wow Natalia Partyka put in a good fight. Bad luck for Wang Yuegu, she must have been real pi*sed off. Don't want to get in her way then!
EDIT: ZOMG you can see BEFORE the game, the ref measure her racket up down left and right. So they have to be <4mm before and after the game... what's the logic here? Could people cheat by crushing their rubbers with heavy books before game start, making it necessary to double check after the game?
