Hi, I recently bought a Timo Boll Spirit blade from tt-japan and asked for a blade that was 90g. I this an ideal weight for the blade? I wanted a blade that was slightly heavier than the average weight for extra power.

90g is below average for TBS. Average would be about 91-92g.
90g though should be good enough. Edited by 7plywood - 01/01/2011 at 10:25pm |

Will the power of the blade be greatly affected by a few grams?

I have 2 TBS blades. 1 is 92g and another is 87g.
92g is does not feel much more powerful, but feels much more stable. It is my main blade for quite some time. 87g is vibrating more. I love the feeling of 92g one. My friend has a 95g TBS and the feeling of that is also excellent.

Is it also true that the new silver tag TBS tend to be below 90g? Ive heard that the older ones went up to 105g.
