Hi, all!
I want to make some blades by myself (DIY), and now I have plane, saw and other necessary tools. But where can I buy the woods like Limba or cypress and the like, especially the ones professional for table tennis blade? Looking forward to your advices! :) Thanks! Size? Do you mean thickness?
You can get veneers from 1/100" to 1/32" or even thicker. The 1/42" is very common. Different thicknesses changes the way the blade plays.
Pick your dealer depending on where you live and price. Most are very good. Many sites have a lot of info on glues, presses, etc. If you want to build blades, you have to do some work first. Lots of reading. Then experimenting. Then building or buying or making equipment like presses. Edited by Hookshot - 01/11/2011 at 11:33pm |

I really have a press and some other materials because I have modified one of my Cpen to Jpen.:) But I should go to Amazon or Ebay or any other else sites to find veneers? |

Most veneers cost $3 to $6 for a sheet good for two sides. Some even less. Have you tried E-Bay?

You can get Balsa wood in hobby shops. It's commonly used for making aircraft models and thus sold there.

The Veneer Store and Certainly wood are pretty pleasant to deal with and both of them have a pretty varied selection.
