I play with Nittaku Acoustic. My style of playing on the BH is playing with pimples blocking and hitting, sometimes chopping.
what pimples rubber is the most suitable for my BH I can try the follow pimples rubbers: - TSP Spectol Speed 1.8mm - TSP Spectol 21 Offensive 1.8mm - Hallmark Magic Pips 2.0mm or 1.5mm - Hallmark Panther 2.0mm - Dr Neubauer Diamant 2.1mm - Armstrong Attack 8M 1.8mm or 1.5mm What do you think? thanks!!! First lower the amount you chop from "sometimes" to almost never
Once you do that, use spectol speed if you speed glue. If you do not speed glue then use spectol 21 offensive. |

I used short pips for a very very long time, and have recently gone back again. If chopping is a shot in your game there's no reason to get rid of it. No reason at all. In fact, a lot of SP choppers use spectol as their rubber. When you're forced off the table, it's about all you can do, and it's a good shot to have in your arsenal. Spectol speed is very hard, meant for speed glue.. but was never popular at all anyway. Regular spectol was always the best. Spectol 21 is a very good replacement for speed glued spectol, and is what most SP guys from the speedglue days are using. In 1.8mm, it's even better for chopping and blocking. Even in 2.15 on a faster blade than you, it's still got a very very good ease of use and lots of control. For your it would be perfect- it probably chops and blocks very very well on your setup and hits just as well.
So I'd recommend Spectol 21 1.8mm. That's a good one. Edited by beeray1 - 08/21/2011 at 1:42am |

Thanks for your answers.
Now I use the Nittaku Acoustic with Hallmark Panther on the BH. The Panther is like LP for blocking and SP for hitting. I am thinking try the TSP Spectol 21 in the Acoustic but I don´t know if is this rubber is suitable for this blade. |

It sounds like you need a medium pip rubber. Start with 729 563 (1.5), then go to 1.8 for more OFF. |

I will always go PALIO WP1013 if Medium Pip.
I will always go BTY Raystorm if Short Pip or/and Hallmark Magic Pips. I will always go BTY Feint Long OX or NITTAKU Screw OX if Long Pip. As JT99SF said, best thickness is 1.3mm to 1.6mm !

What about dhs 651? I've never played it but it's supposedly one of the fastest pips but hits as flat as a medium pips.

If you use lets say, regular spectol, as opposed to 21 or spectol speed, do you need to boost them, or maybe even speed glue?

TSP'S 21 sponge is too soft and needs boosting/speed glue. Spectol Soft plays well without glue. |

TSP's 21 rubbers were I think just revamps of a lot of their old rubbers with newer sponges. I know they also made TSP Spinpips MD 21.
