So I have a tuned rubber and as we all know, tuned rubbers have the sponge expand much quicker than the topsheet and thus have the rubber dome. And so now when I glue the rubber and leave an edge, the parts of the rubber not glued down will peel and curve up quite obviously, suggesting it's tuned. But I look at Wang Hao and Zhang Jike's rubbers (where they leave quite a bit of edge) and the rubbers don't seem to peel at all, although we can practically be 100% sure that they tune.

So what am I doing that's different from them? Confused Do they clamp it or something?

They don't leave an edge these days, either you are getting more than the mild dome they tune to or your glue isn't as good

if you are using Speed glue to glue it on you need to clamp it but for at least an hour or two and even then you will see it curling up a little. but not peeling off.

if you are boosting or.Speed gluing but using WBG to stick the rubber  on i suggest spreading the glue nice and even dry off with a hair dryer , but not bone dry jsut untill its clear and still sticky on both rubber and blade then use a roller to spread the rubber on the blade then roll it a few times with a good bit of added pressure. if  you are doing it at the end of the day you can also leave it under a few books or something.

never glue when the glue is still wet

Thanks, I'm practically doing the same thing and yeah i don't mean "peeling", just like curling off like what you described with speed glue. I think it might be the glue's problem, or my dome is too big so maybe I'll leave it for a few days for the dome to die down next time I tune

It's just oil to expand and soften the topsheet. You can just use vegetable oil. It is safer to use than paraffin oil, which expands rapidly and can cause damage if too much is used.
