Hey guys! I've been lurking around on the forum a little bit but this is my first actual post, hope you guys can help me with my search.

I am a 1800 chopper, both forehand and backhand, I found that what works the best for me is a chinese rubber, with a very hard sponge and a tacky topsheet. I really like the touch it has when chopping and the amount of spin I can get out of it. Only problem is it sometimes lack a little bit of control.

Do you have any idea of a slower, tacky chinese rubber that is made in a thinner sponge.( most of them being really offensive rubbers are always made in max Confused )

I've already played with tackyness chop and it was fine but nothing extraordinary, the sponge was a little too soft for me.

Thanks guys!Big smile

Geospin tacky comes in 1.5mm. I suggest you get it in black so it has more tack. Friendship 729 rubbers are known to be tackier in black than red.

Colestt.com has IQ/IQUL in various sponge thickness.  ttarmony.com has some Palio rubbers in 2.0 (you need to ask for it).  It seems all "neo" or newer stuff only come in max thickness.

Hi LHB
There are 2 kinds of Tackiness for defence:-
Tackiness Chop (Soft yellow sponge)
&
Tackiness Chop II (Hard Orange Sponge). This is much harder and comes in 1.1 and 1.2 thickness as well so is great for control and for smashing
good luck
