I am a backhand oriented player and do a lot of backhand punches , right now I am using Tenergy 64 on my backhand and it feels good but sometimes I feel like I could do the shot but I miss it, so I said maybe because the rubber and blade are both fast?! I am wondering if any of you guys use Tenergy 05 fx on your Gergely for backhand and how do you like it?

When you said you miss. Does it went long or short? Recently I changed from T64FX to T05FX solved my BH punch goes short problem. For me, T05FX gives higher bounce to help clear the net. Hope this help.

My guess is....  It's your technique need work not the equipment needs to change. Without looking at how you play it's hard to suggest anything that will be helpful for your game. Maybe change to a slower blade may help you to learn the stroke and you may come back use the fast set up later???

Yes I think that could be a part of it, I have to adjust my strokes and close the blade a bit more.
But let see who actually is playing with a Gergely and T05 fx on it ?

I think you would be better with T25FX than T05FX on BH.  It throws shorter, but still gives you arc to get over the net and it is incredibly spinny on BH side.

I went thought all of the Tenergy series on my BH in the order of 05-25-64-25FX-64FX-05FX. Yes, the 25FX have a lot of spin but missing the speed I like from 64FX and 05FX. currently I'm still switching between 64FX and 05FX.

T05 FX on Gergely is fine although I prefer T05.

MY BH loop skill is not steady enough to use 05 so I step back use 05FX.

I tried it for 5 hours today and I must say , T05 fx for backhand on Gergely does not work for me, it feels so powerless ! I am going back to T64 . it is the best for backhand punches .

I never tried 64FX.  05FX felt too soft for my liking, so much so I didn't really get a feeling for if it's faster or slower than 25FX.  I assume it's faster.  Anyway, it's probably better to just make some technique adjustments than to look for an equipment fix -- at least if the equipment fix you tried didn't work right away.

Totally agree with your assessment about technique adjustments is better choice over changing equipment to fit the skill. I have my share of EJing bugs in me that driving me to to find some reason to justify the spending :)

Regarding T64 Fx , I have tried it and it felt way too soft for me too.
