This blade is brand new so it's unlikely anyone has tested it yet. Smile

TSP has also recently released a 'Silver Carbon' blade, the TSP Flary. Silver carbon must be the latest trend Big smile

I expect the test results. Would you make a parallel with YEO 7 Power.

The line is silver, not the carbon. Smile

Wrong blade, it's actually this one:
http://www.megaspin.net/store/default.asp?pid=y-silverline-c

It does have a carbon layer, but you're right, it's not clear if it's just carbon or actually Silver Carbon like the TSP blade.

This is funny for me, on the megaspin this blade is 80$ which is eq of about 60€. Jesus that is sooo overpriced, in my country one of our most expensive shops sells it for 40 € and of the cheaper sells it for 36€ ;) . Anyway if the blade plays at least half of it's look it has to very goooD :D

Yasaka Silverline - ALL WOOD & CARBON BLADES

SILVER ALL WOOD

The new Yasaka SILVER ALL WOOD is a high tech allround blade with a unique and attractive design.
The outer veneer of ALL WOOD is very hard thanks to a special process with employing high pressure. The hard outer veneers increase the size of the sweet spot (hitting area with maximum control). The middle veneer (the core) is a carefully selected medium
density wood, slightly thicker than for traditional allround blades. It gives a really good ball feel, and together with the hard outer veneers also enough power for attacking play.
In order to further distinguish this product from other allround blades, we have developed the design to match the high tech image.
Weight: around 87 grams

SILVER CARBON
Many carbon blades are very fast, and sometimes difficult to handle. In the new Yasaka SILVER CARBON we use 2 thin carbon layers and glue them to the wooden veneers with a gluing method developed to keep the control characteristics.
The hard outer veneers in combination with the carbon layers make the size of the sweet spot (hitting area with maximum control) very large. With the SILVER CARBON technical players have a weapon useful for both own attacking play and fast, controlled, counter
blockings. The SILVER CARBON is the blade for those who want only the best in technology and materials.
Weight: around 90 grams

Our Yasaka Silver Carbon weighs average 86 gr. It is 5 gr. lighter than YEO7. YEO7 is definitely faster and more powerful comparing to Silver Carbon.

Silver Carbon is very similar in thickness and construction to Ma Lin Carbon. It seems that only the top layer is different. This hard top layer makes the blade slightly faster than Ma Lin Carbon, but it is more difficult to spin the ball with Silver Carbon due to this fact.

Silver Carbon is stiff and quite thin, so it is good in service return, short game and blocking.

Does YEO7 contain balsa layers?
Life is too short for defensive play.

I have to bring up this old thread.
Any new experiences? And/or a comparison to the Extra Offensive 7 Power?

Both blades seem to have a similar construction?
But are there any significant differences in their characteristics?
