That might tempt me to try another. I am currently using Sammy force pro blue, which I like as its a bit stiffer. But I loved the infinity apart from the hollow feel.

I actually bought another Infinity last week and it feels very different then one I had before. No hollow dead feeling. It has very nice sound and excellent feel. I very like it. Feels like totally different blade compare with one I had before.

somehow the newer feels hollower than the old one. I could adjust to it to be fair if I had too. However now I have gone to lp on bh with a hitting style so infinity is no good for this. It is a shame as I was really liking 05fx 1.9 on my fh of infinity, a touch more control than 2.1. So I am now using a TSP balsa 6.5 which I can not get a decent fh rubber for, but is stunning for bh lp.
I would reevaluate and say infinity is an excellent blade for players who like 5 ply wood and want something a bit slower than a TSPW. If I ever go back to not using lp it will be an infinity or eternity that I use |

wow so I have been playing with an old stiga infinity 149 x 155 that someone gave me and I love it.
ready for the new season I bought myself a beautiful new infinity. 157 x 150 and I don't like it, it does not play even similarly. so after spending hundreds of pounds the best blade for me is a beat up old infinity with bits of top ply missing. LOL |

I don't know if they've changed, but I also experienced this -- bought one used from a forum member from Asia. It showed up, as listed - 155x150mm. Played really nice, so I bought another from TT11.com for back-up. I requested a weight of >89g and recieved what I had asked for. This blade however is 159x150!! -- an Infinity VPS "Oversize", if you will!
I tested them against one another for playability and this is my conclusion: The regular Infinity has a higher avg. speed, but the "Oversize" Inifinity goes deep into the gears, has more apparent flex, more control (for me), yet can still produce great speed on full swings shots. Needless to say, it is this "Oversize" Infinity that I stuck with. Will I ever be able to find another?? I don't know. Will TT11.com measure blade faces for you? . Glad to know someone else got a slightly larger Infinity besides me. Edited by king_pong - 08/30/2017 at 5:32pm |

I just received a Stiga VPS V. The handle surface is rough just like the old Clipper. Holding the handle gives the same feeling. The surface is very smooth just like the surface of Acoustic. I was expecting a light blade with 150x155 cm. Well mine has 91.8g and 157x150 just like bty blades. Is it my blade an exception or Stiga changed the VPS V from compact size of 155x150 to 157x150?

my celero seems balanced and not head heavy, I think the arc is lower than the infinity on loops
I did not really try it long enough for a proper review, I sometimes dnt like blades when I first use them and if I don't I will not persevere with them. Edited by mog1111 - 08/28/2017 at 12:50pm |

How does Infinity compare to Celero, also in terms of balance/head-heaviness?

In the last week I have tried YEO, Korbel, Celero Wood and Infinity all with H3Neo both sides.
And the winner is Infinity, awesome loops with it, im just coming off 3 months of using a donic WSC which is just a tad too slow. |

Has anybody used the penhold version of Inifinity ? If so, how did it go, and what about the head size ? Could be an interesting one, I think.

How are you finding the Eternity NextLevel? Or is there an official full review on the way.

my strength is playing close to table and playing tight and aggressive, I cant do this with tspw, its too bouncy. I don't want to change from 05fx rubber as I like the spin, grip and longevity of the rubber.
I think infinity is the answer, if it is a modern improvement on jre. I hit more than brush so I really don't need a loopers blade. I think the tspw is definitely a loopers blade my son uses it with h3 neo on forehand and his loop is fantastic I play better with a flat low trajectory blade as it makes me move and work harder on my shots this does mean when I am playing bad its awful, however the rewqards are greater when im playing well |

The heated ply in infinity is the second layer. The spruce one. The limba outer has a surface finishing making it harder (diamond touch?!). Thickness is 6,0. And it is stiff. The overall result is stiff.
You are right. The st pw tends you to play lazy because the blade with rubbers feels slow to manouver and the handle has good design but feels hard (iron wood). The infinity however forces to play agressive and favours that play. But i am not sure you are going to score better than using the stratus pw. Of course do not think about doing better with a zxi and vegas and looping machines. The st pw will destroy that marvelous zxi set up. the st pw score lot better. ok thanks ejmaster.
I am going to try and give infinity a try. I like the JRE in all apart from lack of feeling and really hard work in fh loop. don't like the tspw, its my best bat to play with, from an enjoyment point of view but it makes me lazy as its too easy to loop and roll, I end up playing too many lazy topspins with the tspw. how have they made infinity stiff? as the woods it use tend to be soft, has the outer ply been very highly heated to make it play harder? |

The infinity is stiff but has dwell time. It is not high throw. Allows agressive receiving with control. It is a blade to play off with more margin in shots than composite blades. Bh play and bh blocking is very good.
The st pw is good blade and has even better feeling. On the other side strat pw handle feels as a rock and the blade with rubbers feels heavy and slow to handle. Anyway i rather prefer the infinity or the stratus pw better than the rossi emotion. |
