About two months ago, I created a topic of whether or not Tenergy 64 is good for chopper. After three weeks of constant play as a penhold chopper with T64 (Black, 1.9mm) on my forehand with the Butterfly Joo Se Hyuk blade, I can confidently understand why JSH also use the same rubber. At 1.9mm, the forehand chop is quite easy. I have been playing with a 2000+ opponent who emphasizes on spin, an absolute ridiculous amount of topspin to my forehand I mean. When I chopped with the T64, it absorbs the topspins very well. And the returned chops are very low too. When opportunities rose, I twiddle and RPB with the T64, which also makes a great backhand rubber. I've come to enjoy this combination a lot, with T64 on my forehand and Grass on backhand.
Anyone also played with similar combination? Do you think if the JSH blade makes a good offensive blade if I pair two sheets of T64 on both sides? |

Yes that is a very good combo. The problem now is the Joo Se Hyuk must be a very popular DEF blade because all the dealers are sold out.

Joo Se Hyuk + T64 1.7 or 1.9 + Grass is not very heavy. If a player had T64 both sides then yes it would be on the heavy side close to 195-200gr.

64 is a good modern defense rubber. Chops stay low, esp compared with many other tensor type rubbers. 05 is difficult to keep chops low. Obviously attacking is easy, b/c 64 is very fast.
I don't like it for opening and close to the table play though, which is why I tend play with other rubbers unless I really want to chop on the FH.

Tenergy 05 chops very well. Most choppers I know like that about it. For looping from distance, it is a bit harder so some prefer T64 for that reason.

I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...

I've played for three years with a t64, 1,9mm in my forhand. My opponents are so surprised when they see what kind of rubber has made them miss so many times. That makes me laugh :)))
The best rubber for razor's chop.
