Finally, a video with the great penhold hitter Kim Wan. Together with Kim Ki-Taek they were the ultimate smashing pair.

30 years later Kim Wan has put on a few pounds but hasnt forgotten his sharp backhand!!

nice post, chicho you posted some time a go a japanese player with single side raquet playing short pips and using victas   can you tell me more and maybe some videos (i think he beat kishi), do you have videos of players of this kind in japan

In 1983 Kim Wan was still a very inexperienced player. It would take him 5 years to reach his peak when at the 1988 Olympics he smashed his way through Waldner and Persson to reach the final.

 If you are referring to Shoki Morita, there many videos of him on his youtube channel. There is a junior using Nitchugo Super and Victas 101 who indeed beat Kishikawa a few years ago. There used to be videos of him on nicovideo but I cant find them anymore.
