I have done this...I am responding to many threads, not starting my own threads though, and I express agreements and disagreements with others...what that means?I am a scammer?

My post agreeing with racquetsale got lost, but what you have posted is too long, substantial and intelligent to qualify.

NextLevel are you refering to me or to reacquetsforsale??Sorry for asking but I cannot understand from my bad english!

Strataras,

I am saying that you post too substantially to arouse suspicion. The suspects usually post one sentence that says nothing. Examples are:

Good post!

I like your rubber!

Where can I buy this?

Ma Long rocks.

Great review, that is a good blade.

If you have no evidence that someone is scamming, please don't suggest that this something they do just because they have written some short posts.

Let me add to this that Cameron Pfannenstiel of Shawnee Mission KS, our most notorious scammer, actually wrote many comments that were in some cases fairly long and he certainly didn't make a consistent effort to endear himself to people.  I found the comments he made under the user name SadistiClown, and later (we think) under the stolen identity of MAkira to be pretty strange and highly adolescent, which partly explains his behavior.  Guy badly needs to see his campus shrink.

The only thing that identifies a scammer is the fact that they scam, in the two most recent cases they advertise blades for sale they may not even have, get payment by Paypal as a gift and that's it.  Some people knowingly sell fake equipment.

The advantage of MyTT is that here people who do that crap are sniffed out pretty quickly and we have a feedback section so that people who are trustworthy are also identified.  On the outside, on ebay etc. your are more or less on your own.

I don't want people throwing around false accusations based on what is basically nothing at all.  If you don't have something concrete the post will be hidden (and it may soon be time to lock this thread).

Also if someone is not buying or selling something, they are not scamming!!!!!!   If someone is a new member with no feedback you can of course buy something from them, just be prudent, and for sure DON'T USE THE PAYPAL GIFT OPTION!!!!

These portions of your post speak volumes.  Too many want to be judge, jury, and executioner... oh and also accuser.

Without a doubt, the first  thing that has to be done before paying is to check out the seller and see if he is reliable/trustworthy.

- Check the feedback section, use Search to see if he was involved in any buy/sell controversies
- Perhaps ask a couple of other reliable acquaintances/forummers, especially if they had any dealings with the seller
- Ask for a blade/rubber photo (not a stock manufacturer's photo but a "real" one)
- Make sure your payment method is at least somewhat reliable
- Check if his conditions are "too good to be true"

Next time, I'll be careful not to mix up the topics of spammers, scammers and dodgy types.  Obviously, this thread is for far more serious things like criminals (scammers).   My apologies to anyone I have insulted/offended.

NL no problem.  Anyway, I think enough has been said.

Two final thoughts:

Be careful with new users or people with no feedback.  In that case, don't use paypal gift option.

If you have a problem or have some significant reason to think someone is dodgy, or if you have been scammed, you need to let me know so I can look into it.

Time to freeze the thread.
