I currently have Tibhar Grass Dtec S on the backhand of my Joo Sae Hyuk, while I love this rubber, I find the pips to be a bit too hard for chopping.  What do you guys think if I replace the Grass with TSP P-1 Curl (~1.0mm) long pips?  Will it work well with the JSH blade?  My JSH weighs in the high 90s, so I thought the weight and speed of the blade will complement the softness of the P-1 Curl pips.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have P1R on the Joo blade, it has good speed so you can chop long and the ball go over faster which will give your opponent less time to react. I used .5 but just changed over to 1mm best advice I got from boogey , I would not consider the P1 being soft.

The Dtecs pips are actually very soft, among the softest on the market. The sponge is quite soft too and it's quite a lively Tensor sponge. The p-1r sponge is quite firm in contrast and slower. Joo himself uses both, and I'm sure they'll work quite well on the JSH blade. The blade is relatively fast, so the p-1r should offer more control and at least as much backspin when chopping loops.
