I am coming back after a 15 year layoff. I am currently using the Donic Vario Clean Glue and not boosting yet. I like to ask, with all the new glues and rubbers. How often do you reglue and what are your recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Don't re-glue. Glue when you set a new rubber.

It depends on whether you care that much and how quickly you wear out your rubber. I find that a fresh glue job plays better, so regluing once a month if you don't wear out your sheets that frequently can be helpful. If you use modern rubbers, be sure to cut them slightly larger than your blade face if you plan to reglue as they shrink over time.

Machine_Head, I have not had a chance to play with my new equipment yet. In fact i will be going today to try it out and post how it feels after a few practice sessions. I really appreciate the replies & advice. I am happy to be part of the community.

Agree. No need to reglue unless rubber has bubble or doesn't lay down properly. |

No need to re-glue. I only glue when I have to change the rubber.
