Interesting video of Joanna Parker - defensive player who uses Tenergy 05 on both sides.
Thanks to GeneralSpecific for suggesting her video in another thread.

Woow, must be very hard to chop with those T05. What blade is she using? Seem very slow even when smashing.

I believe she uses 1.7mm T05 which is not offered in the USA. Damn it to hell BTY/NAmerica you suck for not offering that thickness! Available in Europe but not here as usual. Chops well at that thickness from reliable sources.

She is using the original Matsushita Pro (not the Pro special). I sent her a message asking how she chops with inverted on the backhand and she told me this:

-Chop down brushing the back of the ball (not underneath as it will go too high)
-Contact on the ball should be slightly in front of you with weight going forwards (not contact behind body and weight going backwards)

Those are her exact words. So as you can see, there are some differences from using long pips.

I've been experimenting using Evolution FX-P in 1.7mm on my backhand with some success. However, I'll be switching to Spectol short pips in 1.5mm to help deal with heavier spin.
Blade - Xiom 36.5 ALX FL
Forehand - Xiom Omega V Asia 2.0mm
Backhand - Victas Curl P5V with Der Materialspezialist Firestorm Soft/Outkill 1.8mm sponge

Thanks - that was my problem - when I chop with the smooth on the backhand it goes too high. However, on the forehand it works of with the smooth.
Will try her suggestion.
