Can anyone enlighten me on which rubbers are the best for looping with forehand and backhand?

Rubbers do not loop, technique does. Buy any inverted rubber and work on your technique.

This is a very generic question and a search in the forum would help you identify different rubbers that are suitable for modern offense game looping. There are very many modern rubbers prominent one's include Tenergies , BlueFire series , Rasant series, Evolution series and Calibra series.

Inverted rubber. That is the only specific correct answer for your very general question.

Tackiness for instance !!!!
It is not a joke... As mentioned above, with a good technique.....believe me, with a tackiness, you can produce very very spiny loops, not fast but spiny.

wankhao,
This really depends on your style and your technique and skill level. If you have good footwork and good power swing and you like fast spiny loop that dives, go with H3 tuned or my recent favorite 729 Battle 2. If you are developing with decent foot work and prefer more a higher throw loop, then European rubber like BlueFire M2, and those mentioned by right2niru will work fine. You may want to pick one that is medium softness that is not too fast and easy to control. The difference is that European/Japanese rubbers give you a better tolerance on a bad shot while the Chinese rubbers are more tighter. So the margin of error is slimmer for Chinese rubber in order to generate a quality shot. Specifically, if you are out of position and you need to save a point, because of the bounciness of Euro/Jap rubbers, it is relatively easier to save that point than Chinese rubbers. Chinese rubbers will need to get to the position and hit it back more because they don't bounce as much. (Of course, there will be some Chinese rubbers that are more closer to European style. But I am referring to H3 and its variants.) So it is up to you to make the call based on what you know about your own game and your preference. If you have a coach, or higher level club mates, they may be a better person to recommend you based on your level of game.

Agree! Really hard to tell because it's very individual and different rubbers are good for different techniques. Many people says that Chines rubbers are the best looping with but I think it's a question about the technique.

The breaking in period is the player adjusting to the new rubber.
People adapt and change much faster than rubbers. If the rubbers changed that quickly they would soon be worn out. I have played with anti-power for a while. No looping votes for anti power but it is fun to play with. The question should have what is the best rubber for winning. That is a personal preference. I second the first few replies about technique. |
