I know Hao already retired. But did he ever play with Hurricane Hao3 in tournaments?

Or it was DHS hype to sell another model of balde. Shocked

I think he went from YE to supposedly a carbon yasaka blade.

Remember, that whole series came out at once and had virtually every major Chinese player attached.

The only one I remember really being any good is the brown one that cost like $150 or so.  Can't remember if it was Wang Liqin blade?

The regular lineup was really heavy...around 100g per

Hurricane King is probably the most famous one, that's probably the one you're thinking of. Hurricane Hao/Long are supposed to be good blades though. Ma Long has certainly used the Hurricane Long or a variant at some point in his career.

Hi aroonkl, according to the China's TT world magazine (2015 February issue), Wang Hao never used Hao 3 (YE -> Hao  with Dipper handle -> Hao or Hao 2/656...)

I am not confused it with HKing or HLong. HKing was the most popular. Wang L used it for a while. HLong series used by ML. And ML5 family is widely used among CNT n prov players.
Wang Hao loops different than others CNT. Mostly he initiates the attack, controls loops deep, spinny over n over to pressure the opponents. I think his blade series reflect that. I try Hao1 and PG13 (similar structure to HH3 but lot cheaper). Both have slower speed than HK, don't bother to compare to that cannon ML5. I feel them very good blades for spinny control loop style like WH. So wonder if he really used them.

I believe that was Ma Lin. He switched temporay to ML Carbon after YE but because of his lack of results using Carbon, he returned to 5 ply all wood. He later won the 2008 Olympic Gold and the blade he used became the all time penhold classic YEO.

No photo or video of Wang Hao ever using HH3 except the promo. In fact players like Ma Long and Wang Hao never used any of the DHS market version blades, only custom built. 5 ply all wood N656 for WH and W997 for ML to be exact.

They both used YE at the early age but ML stay with Yasaka and WH moved to DHS. I remember reading a timeline of their equipments from some Chinese forum.
