Both the new penhold and shakehand versions have different head sizes from their old counterparts.
The shakehand one has a smaller headsize whereas the penhold one has a larger headsize.

Comparing the new and old matrix, the series refresh is actually slower/less bouncy by quite a bit.

From charts, the old IF ZLC is faster than TB ALC. And the new one is slower than TB ALC? It has to be error. New chart also shows Korbel faster than IF and Liu shiwen.  Where is the source of this new chart? Edited by aroonkl - 06/29/2015 at 11:50pm |

The Japanese ones(old and new) are taken directly from the Butterfly Japan site. The values on the matrix agree with those in the individual entry for each blade.

It should be wrong when the guy put data for chart then. Old Chart: Liu Shiwen was faster than Korbel. New Chart: Liu Shiwen speed dropped a lot to lower than Korbel. (Both are the same old blades. Why speed of LSW drop now?) Anyone play this new InnerFiber series yet?

Other than the Liu Shiwen, ZJK SZLC and ZJK T5000 have switched places as well. ZJK/TB ALC are now on par with their ZLC counterparts. It's hard to believe Butterfly would let something like that slip past. So the comparison between the old and new charts should be left just that.

I would ignore manufacturer rankings. The BTY USA website lists the MJ-SZLC & ZJK-SZLC as OFF and the old MJ as OFF+. New MJ is rated OFF.
