I cant wait for someone to test this rubber. Back in the days I played with Bryce fx and it was the perfect rubber for me.

Now this new bryce looks like it will have the same sponge but porous. So basically it is tenergy combined with bryce. This must be good Big smile

As it turns out, the patent application they applied in early 2012 is ultimately for the Bryce Highspeed.  The Micro Layer actually bears a striking resemblance to the Hexer et al.
Viscaria FL - 91g
+ Neo H3 2.15 Blk - 44.5g(55.3g uncut bare)
+ Hexer HD 2.1 Red - 49.3g(68.5g 〃 〃)
= 184.8g

Don't buy it, maybe you'll like it. And then neverending EJ quest for its cheaper alternative will occur. So, stay away before it's too late.
Life is too short for defensive play.

This is interesting. Butterfly actually does need a fast rubber that's not so soft and squishy like T64 and T80.

Just by looking at that thin almost transparent top sheet, it looks like it will wear out quite fast. Might be brittle.

Considering how good of T05 top sheet is I think this new Bryce won't be popular amongst regular club players. I see durability issues in the future with this rubber.

For those who may not have watched it.  There was some impressive super slow-mo footage.  They explicitly addressed the topic of durability near the end(20:58) of the promotional video.

logic and common sense dictate promotional advertising.

logic, butterfly high speed/spin rubbers are imfamous for brittleness. what makes Bryce an exception?

common sense, the thinner a rubber sheet is the easier it is prone to friction breakage...unless Bryce's topsheet is made with something like a crown latex condom rubber, extra thin but extra durable. lol.

advertising, do a comparison on a mickey d big mac on tv vs one in your local store.

just my thoughts.

I'd suggest you use Kimono over crown, its a better product!

The G40+ will hit the street Jan 21, 2016 in Japan, with an MSRP ¥840, or ¥907 with tax.  That is ¥240 cheaper than the current offering.  In the fine print, it is advised that they be stored at room temperature and they tend to break more frequently compared to Celluloid.
