I'm waiting for Bryce Highprice. It even sounds right, doesn't it?

Evolution MX-P is definitely the rubber you are looking for. ;)

Hey PH: sorry for me the thread jack but can you write up a brief MX-P vs Powergrip comparison?

Egad, I can't imagine that Bryce HS will be any cheaper than Tenergy.  I wouldn't be surprised if it breaks the $80 barrier.  It's a crazy day when a sheet of BTY rubber costs more than a BTY Korbel blade.

In terms of alternatives, I'm already planning to switch from Tenergy 05 on the forehand to Roundell Hard.  I use Roundell on my backhand and it's like a slightly improved original Bryce - no spring effect like the tensors out there, but decent spin, decent speed and very predictable.  The only knock is that it's a little soft, which hopefully the hard version will fix.

Most importantly, it's around $35 a sheet in East Asia (though inexplicably $50+ here...).
Blade: BTY Zhang Jike ALC-CS

FH: BTY Tenergy 05

BH: BTY Rozena

Either that one or, "What is the difference between the Kenta Matsudaira blade and a TB-ALC?"

I thought you were a soft rubber guy - what made you choose Powergrip?
I like putting heavy topspin on the ball...
Cybershape Carbon
FH/BH: H3P 41D.
Lumberjack TT, not for lovers of beautiful strokes. No time to train...

I have changed to SPs in my BH, and I accordingly have changed (or want to change) my FH style from loop-oriented (softer rubbers) toward more power driving and flat hitting (harder rubbers). I have been testing MX-P, Powergrip and T05 extensively (along with M1 turbo and MX-S). I probably could use any of these five rubbers (although more effort is required with MX-S and M1T), but I have opted for MX-P as my long-term solution for many reasons, most importantly, it's less expensive and a tad softer than most of the others giving the best loop/smash/brush spin compromise imo - plus, it seems to be the only accepted T05 alternative amongst top players [yes, I have let myself be influenced by that fact, my flesh is weak]. My MX-P order from Dandoy hasn't arrived yet, and until the next big tournament, I will 'use' up my stash of Powergrip and T05.

We should start a countdown...I wonder who will be the first person posting a review on this Butterfly "take my money now & will this make me over 2000" rubber sheet. LOL
