Tenergy 05 is renowned for its looping and counter looping potential, as well its high spin on serves. More difficult to receive serves and punch/block compared to its competition.

Tenergy 05 is basically the holy grail of spin machine. It's ridiculously easy to create a spinny loop. Blocking and pushing however is its downside.

I would go with T05 over the FX just because the T05FX for me has less 'tenergy feel'

I just switched to 05 Fx. What a nice backhand rubber! I can loop and block very well with this and the control is superb. I think it's better for backhand than 05 is for most players. It definitely has enough speed to kill despite what many reviews say on it!

T05fx has better sound, weighs less, feels softer and is a slower version of T05. Fx is better suited for a stiff blade than flexible.

I dissagree that T05-FX is better suitted for a stiff blade than flexible. Exactly the opposite.

I found T05fx to be too mushy on both the TB ZLF and the Grubba All+, which are both known flexible blades. Which flexible blade do you recommend FX be played on?

Hmm. I would also pick 05fx for a stiffer blade.

Here we go again. In my limited experience, any rubber can fit any blade - the real question is how you plan to play and what you like.

T05-FX on hard carbon blades is extremely bouncy on short game.
On soft all-wood blades T05-FX is better.

On Infinity , I slightly prefer T05-FX over T05.
On Primorac Carbon , T05 is much better than T05-FX which is very unforgiving.

Just got a sheet of T05 FX and gotta say I don't like it at all. One of the forum members sold it to me at a discount so I finally decided to try a sheet of Tenergy, and I found it to be too soft and slow. I tried it on a carbon blade that has some flex to it and it just feels slow. I guess it would be ok on a stiff blade like some people mention, but if the blade has flex or is not very fast then try something else. The weight also threw me off as it made my racket about 10 grams lighter than when I use Rhyzm Tech. I would find an alternative to this rubber as it costs $75 and there are many other great alternatives out there.

The fx is for developing players. Not for people who already have developed techniques.
Your odds would be beter with reg 05.

At that price, I sold both my 64s my team bought me.

You got a pretty old one then. Soft and slow? Not as much as the M3 that you're familiar with. It is about as fast as the S2 which is faster than JP03.

I've heard Zhang plays with it. It just didn't feel so good on my carbon blade. Good as in it felt softer/slower than the Rhyzm Tech or the Bluefire JP-03. It was a new carbon blade that has a softer feel to it so maybe it just wasn't as good a feel. I know Zhang plays with it, but none of those players play with the version you and I play with. They are all boosted up. There is no way Zike uses a regular T05-FX as those pro players have boosted rubbers. That said, I'm sure Zhang could play just fine with my sheet, I just didn't like it as well as the rubbers I normally play with, and at $75 I think you can find better alternatives.

I've played with Tenergy 05 and 05 fx for a few years before recently changing to short pips on both sides.  The Tenergy 05 is better for forehand as it's very easy to spin and loop with lots of speed.  The fx version for it is softer and a tad slower, I used it on my backhand for blocks and occasional loop/flicks.  If you are claiming to be a beginner, I wouldn't recommend either of them as they are too fast for beginners.

Many of them aren't professional players or are players who almost definitely had to purchase their stuff even if they were pros. I remember and believe that Jim Butler uses 05FX on both sides, but I also know the top junior at my club uses 05FX on the backhand as well and he sure isn't sponsored by anyone.
