Hi Guys,

I have been playing TT for a long time now and use mark V 2.0 on FH and Sriver EL 1.9 on BH with Primorac Off- blade. I find this setup to be well suited for my close to the table play.

I am very attacking on FH and on backhand I rely on strong control with a lot of chops and pushes with occasional attacks. I am looking for a all round rubber that is a step up from Sriver EL and that will encourage my attacking game more without losing the control or spin. This is what I want:

Spin : same as Sriver is fine. As long as there is decent backspin in my chops and no problem facing spinny serves.
Speed: Looking for little more speed in my backhand attack than Sriver EL
Chops: should not jump up too much so that I can keep chops low.
Blocks : should be consistent and well controllable.

Can anyone please suggest a BH rubber keeping in mind the setup? I find Tenergy to be too fast and the high throw angle doesnt help my close to the table play.

Thanks,
Kaustav

It sounds like you are looking for  more modern rubber without a strong catapult effect. I play in a fairly similar manner to you and am getting on very well with Joola Samba 19. Another rubber that could work for you is Donic Bluefire JP 03

Maybe Acuda s2. I've used primorac off- and s2 2.0 on bh for blocking/pushin/attacking and was quite successful. Not high throw. You can try 1.8 if you push and chop more.

chopping low with Vega Europe may be a bit of a problem... XVE is very good for looping, especially for people who are not yet perfect at it

For your backhand, Tibhar Aurus soft 1.9mm
This meets your checklist.  Your chops won't go high if you have good technique

What about your forehand Mark V 2.0mm ?  Did you want to change that ?

Andro Treiber Z - fl
FH: Tibhar MX-D max
BH: Tibhar Quantum ProX-blue,max

Aurus soft has definitely stronger spin than sriver, control is about the same.
