Butterfly has just released this new glue, with the following claim:
The new FREE CHACK PRO glue is more viscous compared to the original FREE CHACK. It can increase the dwell time on the blade, resulting in higher amounts of spin. Glue bottle, clips and sponge for application. Note: Please shake before use. Has anyone tried this glue, and can compare to Free Chack or Free Chack II? |

It's not completely new. It's available since several months here in Germany and I can verify that the Pro version is much ch better than Free Chack and Free Chack II. For me personally it is also easier to use than Revolution No.3, because 1) you need less glue and 2) it dries faster.

How easy is it to take off the blade & rubber? Also, is it very strong - does it increase splintering risk?

The FCP feels much stickier than R3.
You only need to add one thin layer of FCP on the blade and 1-2 on the rubber. If you remove the rubber and want to test it on another blade, it is not necessary to remove the old glue from the rubber. You only need to add another thin layer (this will still be thinner than 2 layers of Rev.3). If you remove it again and want to test it on a third blade, you can remove the old glue easy, maybe not as easy as with R3 and definitely not as easy as with Copydex (NO glue is removable as easy as Copydex), but it is no problem to remove the glue without damaging the rubber.
I never had problems with blade-splintering, neither with Revolution No.3 nor with Free Chack Pro. |
