Rozena is a beast, not a good forehand rubber but amazing for the backhand
It's like a less reactive, slightly softer/slower version of Tenergy 80, for $33, what a steal! MX-P or T05 are better for the forehand by far though.

[I only tried it once but it felt like a tame child of 05 and 64. Softer than 05, probably best described as tame t80.]
TAME!? TAME!? Who does tame??

Tenergy: Two weeks of heaven, followed by three months of excellence, then, a nice rubber.

Will other brands drop their price to compete with Rozena ?
Any other rubbers give similar characteristic as Rozena ? Those rubbers maybe the fist line up to watch out. |

For me the last 2 generation ESN rubbers are much better than Rozena. Rozena just feels bland to me. Ok speed,ok spin it's just all around ok. For me it's best attribute is it's not as sensitive to spin than a lot of rubbers. I'm not sure it's a good deal at $40. I'm sure there are people that love it or maybe it works better on a different blade than Viscaria.

Isn't Rozena a Japanese "High Tension technology" rubber which is the equivalent of ESN Tensor? I don't think its as good as T05 or T64 but pretty close to the T(x)FXs. And its less than 1/2 the price of the Ts.

I used T80 for a few years. Now I am trying Rozena.
Rozena is like a T80 that is easier to control at low speeds, but gives up a little at the top end. I can switch between the two with very minor adjustments. |

I never liked Rozena .It's a good alternative to a premade rubber or for kids to learn on but not for someone who has used Tenergy or an ESN rubber.

At 25€---190yuan it could be a great replacement as a soft ESN BH rubber like M3/FXP-FXS series.
At 35€---40$ it might have some butterfly followers. But at 45€ it´s not interesting at all, there are bunch of rubbers with better price&perfomance. Surprisingly there´s no any news about the drop prices in Rozena in Europe.

Interesting to hear this... that confirms that it obviously does depend on the region & pricing, because I know it's selling quite poorly in some other countries.

Rozena has been raking in tons of money for Butterfly in Japan. Their sales is back up to the 2010 level, the absolute peak before the global pricing policy went into effect.

Help spread the news and pressure them to respond. Just to give them a hard time even if they don't give a damn. |

Yesterday ordered a pack of Evo on my local retailer who is one of the official BTY distributors in my county. They had no ideal about that the sale of Rozena.
Ironically, in the past they agreed to raise their prices in order to fix same prices everywhere and help their distributors, no matter where you get BTY would be same price, but now looks like they´re not interesed on stablish same price in Europe. Bunch of thieves. Edited by jonyer1980 - 07/18/2018 at 4:31am |

If Rozena price is cut to half, I will let all my students use it. Very good for beginners.

Yup, Chun Hing announced the change roughly 19 hours ago and Komann roughly 24 hours ago. China Star, as well. Basically all retailers in HK after 7/16. Edited by zeio - 07/17/2018 at 4:56am |

It is still the same price on Butterfly Japan, and most of taobao sellers. I don't think that it is worldwide summer sale
