I have tried Schlager Carbon C-pen for a short time, and for hitting it is awesome, but it is rather heavy (mine is 92 grams)and bigger (X-CS which I assume stands for Extra large Chinese Style). I have not tried it fully though, as I am still using my Violin.

I wonder if anyone has ever shave a 9mm single-ply Hinie down to, say, 6mm? By "shave" I means uniformly shave down the whole blade (not just the edges around the handle) and reduce the blade's overall thickness.

You probably lose a lot off power with a 6mm single-ply, but then again who know? On the plus side, the blade is so nimble if not lightning fast.

I would think a thin 1 ply hinoki blade would be both slow and fragile.

Most Chinese style penholders prefer harder blades than hinoki as they are better for blocking and smashing with.

Khvn, your blade got one crack at 8,5 mm, so at 6 mm perhaps it will break to several pcs. This could be the reason why there is no thin single ply hinoki blade.

Violin indeed. I use Violin-C myself.

Also you can look at Avalox P500 or BT555. Both are good control blade.

Nittaku's Runlax 5 looks like an exact copy of P500, I havn't try it personally but you can take that into consideration.

Blade: Violin C
Forehand: H3 2.2 Red
RPB: Driva Smash Ultima 2.0 Black
