I'm on Hunan TV right now, and it's shown the schedule on the screen a few times. I converted it into eastern time.

I think  some players invited on the hunan website are different from those that are confirmed, and the most most infuriating part is that they post my li jia wei's picture wrongly and put lau sui fei's picture instead.

oh, yeah, i saw that. they put li jia wei's name under the lau sui fei pic.

but about the schedule--11:30 tonight is 12:30 tuesday. but the ittf website says the tourney is 12:30 on wednesday and thursday.

for us on the east coast that's 11:30 tuesday night and wednesday night.

for it to be 11:30 tonight, that means it's starting a day early. that's why i was asking if you were sure about the schedule, cuz the ittf and hunan tv schedules both say that it will start tomorrow night for us on the east coast.

as for today--well, actually tomorrow morning--they are s'posed to announce the draw and then have some "ping-pong carnival."

Yes, but they did show that schedule on the screen. I think that's the early show that they usually present, playing with some amentuers. It's fun though.

for some reason, the online translators always transliterate ai fukuhara as "ai fujinuma." well, that's actually the name of her teammate.

i wonder why??

the tournament schedule above, which was taken from the hunan tv site, says the quarters on both days start at 12:50, china time.

but here's what the actual hunan tv schedule says:

12:30 - 17:45 pm wednesday and thursday
19:35 - 21:55 pm wednesday and thursday

in eastern time, that's 11:30 pm - 4:45 am, tonight and tomorrow night, and 6:35 - 8:55 am, tomorrow morning and thursday morning.

so, yes, the times are different and so, it is little confusing, but just turn on hunan tv at the earliest time and leave it on until it's totally finished and you won't miss anything!!

the commentator said li jia wei was clever with warming with tie yana because european players like steff do not how to play against short pimples and short pimples, therefore if shes used to it she will win for sure.moreover, steff was late for the match and tie  has to play the next match against wang nan therefore they warm up together.
