Hi all, Im just wondering what suggestions people have to offer. I currently use a magna on my backhand (2 layers of speedglue) on a gatien extra blade. Im not a fan of spinning but I like spinning off chop and punching flat/topspin balls with my backhand. At the moment, I think magna is a bit soft and is a rubber that spins.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a middle/light backhand rubber for punching and for speedglueing ?
Thanks all |

Nittaku Nodias is a medium hard sponge and a very grippy topsheet (like Magna). Wang Liqin and Guo Yan supposedly use it on their backhands.
I find I'm more consistent with it on my reverse penhold backhand than with a softer sponge rubber as I can feel the ball better. It's also pretty fast. It is pretty heavy, maybe 10 grams more than Joola Samba. -- Andrew |

I use LKT Pro XT (black). It is very light with a tacky topsheet and very soft sponge. Best of all, it is only $14 per sheet.

It's possible that Nittaku J.O. Waldner and Nodias are the same rubber. I haven't seen Nittaku J.O. Waldner myself, but it sounds similar from the description. In the U.S. Donic has the rights to the J.O. Waldner name, so Nittaku can't use the name here butthey do use it in Asia. -- Andrew |

Donic Sonex JP soft. Good chop and loop. Better than Sriver EL in my opinion.
