    Posted: 03/26/2013 at 2:08am
I've got ten sheets of red and ten sheets of black (total 20 sheets) of used Tenergy 05.  These are all pretty well used: I'm a US player at 1750 level who plays three times a week and I typically change rubbers every two months.  So the rubbers all have wear in the center, plus crumbling on some edges.  Most of them won't have any cuts but a few might.  I used water based on glues with all of them and sometimes I removed the glue afterwards, but usually I just left it on.

These sheets are suitable only for testing purposes or for those who like playing with worn-out Tenergy.

If you are interested, I am selling them at $18 per red & black pair plus $2 shipping (shipped US Mail).

Bump for the deal of the week! Long live Stellan's camps in Salem and may benfb never beat me in a tourney.

We haven't played in years. If you were still playing right handed, I'd say you were the definite favorite, but if you're still learning to play lefty, then I have to think I have the advantage.

I am back to my better right arm for 2 weeks now. No matter my respect to your fluid game I am afraid your chances are slim as i am coming back all pumped up and modest at the same time; also technically the injury moved my elbow closer to the body (almost like you) and i have So much more control with the same mind for high balls enough. Beware w/out worry. Can't wait to play you.

But using your left hand was your excuse for not coming to our latest Stellan camp.  So I should expect you to sign up for next August, right?

I'm hoping to come to the unsanctioned team tournament in two weeks at the Seattle Pacific club in Bellevue.  Is that a new name for Fan's old club?

I heard Yong's schedule is so full with his people coming like crazy to his new secret location (not sure where); spttc is the other club in Bellevue a.k.a Judy's club, a place I like to go to but Green Lake in Seattle -5-9pm Sat and 4-9pm Sun- remains my mother club. If you play that event at Judy's let me know.

A few more comments:

1. All sheets were cut to fit my Bty Timo Boll ALC (I have two but they're the same size head).
2. I used water glue on all rubbers.
3. Out of the 20 sheets, when I checked there were four where I had removed the glue.  All the others still have the old glue on them.
4. In taking the photos, I found a couple with crumbled edges and two with tears near the bottom. In all those cases, I took extra pictures. That's why there are 28 photos for 20 sheets.

I will give priority to those wanting to purchase the largest numbers of sheets.

Thanks.

We're planning on coming to the spttc team tournament, but we're waiting because they'll cancel the event if they don't get enough turnout.

A bunch of people PM'd me yesterday asking for photos of the rubbers and now... no more responses. I thought the rubbers came out looking pretty good actually.

how do u get edges like that? Do u chew them after every lost point? I have 1 yr old tenergies with perfectly round corners, even though there is very little topsheet left on it.
Nonetheless, good luck with the sale, sounds like a good price. I would rather glue on of these than anything chinese, including neo and shmeo

They might be boosted a few times!!!! It's happening the same on my Bryce Speed, edges breaks down easily, become much more fragile...

that's what he is doing Big smile in addition of donating the building to the club he created that would not be able by itself to support the rent (to be verified).

If I was using bty products no doubt tenergies would be high up in my choices and I would boost benfb's used tenergy rubbers (PO? seamon?...) until I can cut off the chewed edges. Then a treatment of the topsheet with PO no doubt would give me a more than acceptable rubber to play with since I rely on spin less than the average looper who brushes the ball on more than 80% of his/her strokes.
It is an inexpensive way to test Tenergy and since benfb wants the best for his game and changes his rubbers 6 times a year, no matter the chewed edges: there is still PLENTY of spin potential left in those.

Actually, I do donate used rubber sheets, mainly Barracuda which is what I switched to from Tenergy.  However, the people who use our club's "loaner paddles" wouldn't appreciate the Tenergy sheets and I know that there are people who buy used sheets.

I've never boosted any sheets of rubber.  In the days of speed glue, I used speed glue and/or limonene on Shriver, but once speed glue became illegal I was happy to give up all that hassle.  And as my technique has improved (thanks, Stellan!) having a super-powerful setup became less important.

The crumbled edges occur where I am pushing short balls and the leading edge of the paddle rubs the table.  I'm left handed and usually use black on the forehand, so you should see crumbles only on the top right (black) and top left (red) of sheets, and then mostly on the black (I rarely touch the table on BH pushes).

Actually, I thought the crumbled edges were very small and almost didn't bother to mention them.  I see good players all the time with significantly more crumbling on their sheets.

Finally, I will comment on what happens to T05 after two months of use.  Generally the top sheet is still quite grippy.  What I found was that the sponge lost its springiness.  I'm sure this could be fixed with a booster but since I don't use boosters.... Anyway, there are people (I've met them and I've seen them post in this forum) who actually like old, slightly dead Tenergy.  I don't know why, but if they're happy with that, then they should like these sheets.

gosh I do not want to do this but with my allround game I'd actually be ok for a couple years with those 2nd hand bty rubbers; actually 4 years since i'd use them for the fh only. I'd just have to take care of the bh with some LKT speed that works so well on that wing.

I'm revising this old thread because I've got a bunch more of used sheets of Tenergy 05 for sale.

These are used sheets, in generally good condition (no cuts in the center, still play tolerably well).

I have 11 pairs (red/black), and each pair is $20 shipped to the US via US Mail.  Or $200 for all eleven pairs.

Here are some sample photos.  One of these has a small chip in  the top right edge of the black rubber.  I included this photo because that's about the worst case scenario.

Of course, since the price amounts to $10/sheet shipped, you can't really expect perfection. Smile

Received my 2 pairs of T05 from benfb. Still in very good playable shape on the top sheet and sponge, much better than the pictures shown above for sure. I would say 50-60% life remaining with or without booster. $10 per sheet is a steal. Thanks Ben. Will deal again.

Time to bring up my old thread because I've got a bunch more of used sheets of Tenergy 05 for sale.

These are used sheets, in generally good condition (no cuts in the center, still play tolerably well).  Some have the glue removed from the back, some do not.  I'm not including pictures here but they look a lot like my pictures from last time (2017; see above).

Before I sell these in just pairs, I think I'll offer them in groups (bunches).  That's better than packaging a whole bunch of different envelopes.

Set 1: Nine (9) pairs of Tenergy 05 rubbers, each pair being one black and one red sheet. All max thickness.  Plus I have one bonus sheet of black (no red) Tenergy 05.  So I figure the 9 sets at $20/set is $180.  And I'll thrown in the bonus sheet of black.  So that's 10 sheets of black and 9 sheets of red (19 altogether).  The $180 includes shipping via US Mail, domestic addresses only.  Shipping anywhere else (anything more expensive) is your cost.

Set 2: Three sheets of Black Tenergy, max thickness: one sheet of T25, one sheet of T64, and one sheet of T64FX.  Price for all three is $25, shipping included.

First come, first serve.
