Sound like places where they slopped glue in between the pips. Then if the topsheet is pushed down onto the sponge it causes the topsheet to stick down. We had that problem with dawei for a while but haven't in the last several batches.

I carry only the Venus. I do have some odds and ends, tospheets and sponges that I got to sample their stock. But venus was their only rubber that was quality enough to add anything to my lineup. The mars top isn't too bad. It's a little lighter than even the more expensive 3* topsheet and lighter than most of my tacky topsheets. Price is right too. I tried a couple of their japanese sponges but they were too expensive and good but not good enough to justify the price versus what I can get from dawei.

I use Komann Winning NP-8 short pips sometimes and I think it is very good rubber and good quality - For Firetack !!!
