Dear users of the Gatien Extra! Would you tell which rubbers you consider most matching with that blade?

I've heard rumors about .. MarK V .. Blue Whale 2 .. Express One .. 729 Faster.

I have Extra 3D and Soft Carbon. I really really like regular Mark V on it. The other one that has a good feel is Donic Coppa Jo Platin Soft.

Oh, I tried Hurricane 2, but it was extremely difficult to control in short game - needed a lot of backup power to generate lift of the ball. The loops off the table were easy, but the rest of the game difficult. seems that this rubber is better on a faster carbon blade.

i'll second Mark V and sriver (probably EL?) in one notch below max thickness.  if you were looking for a cheaper / chinese option, you can't go wrong with Higher 3 (jap sponge), not a speed demon but handles all phases of the game equally well. certainly my personal favorite.

Gambler Kevlar ST
Nittaku Refoma (1.5mm)
Yasaka Phantom 011 (OX)

something as fast as you can get....
more to the hard side, but not that hard.
blue whale II could do.
soft rubbers would lack power in my oppinion

in my opinion that blade is better by far with a chinese rubber user.

I use whale II 37 on it.. and I love it. But i dont usually play it. A few weeks ago i had to use it for the week.. and i really enjoyed it. But that blade has a lot of flex.. i think its good for medium hard chinese rubber.. not super hard chinese rubber- i hated bw2 37 on the HK.. but it works really well together with the Extra. I dont see really soft rubber working too well. But ive never tried either.

I also hear that its really nice with tenergy 05.. but thats just hearsay. I heard its a looping monster.
