Hi everyone,
I was wondering if any players who are experienced with playing short pips could advise me on how to improve my technique (i.e. controlling the ball when hitting with backhand and returning long spinny serves to my backhand.) Thanks in advance. |

Hi. I am using Stiga Radical short pips on BH and they are good. For example, if you are smashing the ball with the pips, you can block the ball in next shot at you and if you block, the ball gets very much spin.
I've improved a lot with them and they are great in BH and FH

Long serves are the bane of short pips, try to take them as early as you can and angle them. Or better yet step around and rip a few to keep the other guy honest.

also sometimes turn the bat in your hand while the opponent is serving, so you can rip with backhand. Always keep the opponent guessing

I 2nd TT_Freak & rustyfo. Practice returning long fast topspin, backspin, & no spin as experienced players will exploit the pips.
