I'm currently using tibhar rapid both on forehand and backhand, now i want to switch to more fast and spinny rubbers without sacrificing too much control.
Which rubbers should suit the samsnov alpha blade? I was thinking about using Tibhar Nimbus and NImbus soft as it doesn't need glueing but I don't know anyone who uses that rubber. nb: I starteb playing with tibhar rapid dtech(fh) and torpedo soft(bh) Thanks 4 ur help guys |

ok, ive played tabletennis for around 8 years on fairly high level, and the combo I have at the moment is my favorite by far:
Blade: Tibhar Samsonov Alpha FH: DHS HurricaneIII 2,0mm (3 layers of Butterfly Fair Chack) BH: DHS Dipper 1,8mm (2 layers Butterfly Fair Chack) I feel like I get a really nice balance, since the blade is really light (80g), and H3 is a pretty heavy rubber, so the weight feels ideal for close to the table offensive play. H3 in FH provides awesome power and spin, and H3 is ideal for very spinny serves. Also countertopspinning is a joy to do with H3. Only weakness is that it takes some adjustment to get used to H3 in loop against loop play far from the table, but after a few weeks of using it you get some great advantages there too (easy to produce spin, and sudden "all or nothing" countertopspin attacks to surprise the opponent are very effective with H3). Dipper on BH is simply a great rubber, fantastic power, and great control for offensive blocking and for BH vs BH rallies. An alternative to Dipper is the always great Sriver-EL. For Dipper I feel its pretty important to speedglue, while for H3 you can manage without it (I still recommend doing it though) |

i used sriver l on my backhand for some time but i found that it needs too much glueing, i have to glue every time i play as it doesnt't have that sort of punch from the rubber

The Hurricane sounds a good rubber but i don't think that Dipper2 would not go for my backhand as i attack from both backhand and forehand, and something which sounda a bit strange i prefer attacking with my backhand altough i got god attack in my forehand

I think you should try Yasaka NEW ERA. It's fast and very spinny and you don't need speed glue.
My teammate uses samsonov alpha and new era and he has a good feeling ^^

I had once a Tibhar Samsonov Premium Contact. It is almost the same as the Alpha. It worked perfect with Butterfly Tackyfire Special Soft on the forehand, because it is very spinny and have good control and great power. On the backhand you should have an other rubber, because Tackyfire Special Soft is quite heavy, mabey a Sriver or a Stiga Innova light.

My Tibhar Samsonov Premium Contact has 2.2mm Six Shooter on it, with normal glue.
Six Shooter is a tension rubber and plays well. Another rubber that works would be the Joola Energy Green and it does match up well with the Samsonov Alpha. Two clubmates use that combination. |
