What is touch?  Scientifically, isn't it the vibration we recieve of the ball?  It becomes the term "vibration" when the vibration of the ball is great enough to significantly shake the blade which becomes noticable.

If that's true then how come they claim that hollowing out the handle reduces the vibration and increases the feeling of the blade?

Thx. for the replies!

The Aramid fibre in my blade gives a unique feel / vibration at impact... it's very different than an all wood blade or a carbon blade. Most of the time "feel" is a personal preference... a thing you need to discover for yourself as to what feels right.

Alright, lets make this analogy.  Vibration is water and wood is flavor.  The more flavor there is in the water, the less it will satisfy our thirst.   What we want is the least flavor possible.  So even though there are diff. kinda  feeling, some kinda water do have less flavor in them.  Similarly, less dense wood(soft) have more feeling.  Btw, which wood is the softest?  Balsa?
