First post here guys so take it easy on me!

I'm just getting back into table tennis after about 8 or 9 years or so.  My blade is a Stiga Hans Alser I bought in college around 1982-83 - no it's not for sale!

About 10 or 12 years ago I replaced the rubber with Mark V and Sriver.  Well the Mark V I still like, but the Sriver sucks!  I'm thinking of replacing the Sriver side with Mark V and see how I like that.  I'll probably end up replacing both sides but want to try one first.  What has got me confused is all the different glue types out there.

Can anyone recomend a good basic glue for a recreational player?  I'm not sure I want to go the route of speed glues, and presses, and gluing up before playing - at least not yet.

I believe my style of playing is offensive vs. deffensive as I tend to return drives with counter drives rather than chops, if that helps any.

Thanks, Bob.

PS  I just joined the San Diego Table Tennis Ascociation.  No I haven't met Stellan yet.

For regular glue, you can try Butterfly Basic Chack.  Or you can just use rubber cement such as the Elmer's that you can find in craft stores, Walmart, or Target stores.

Trebor

I use Elmers and get it from Michaels craft store for $6.00/4oz. bottle

2 coats on rubber and 1 coat on blade and it wont come apart during play but it will come off easily to change sheets.

Usually lasts for about 12 to 15 sheet changes.

Loopers still rule(but learning to play choppers better)
