Rubber glueing

i think you are new to combination blade and are worried not to spoil it.

 

Well if you just try you will be surprised that it's so easy and satisfying.

 

here are the quick steps. you can ask me if you have any specific question.

 

- Buy any company's glue that says rubber cement. So long it is rubber cement you can glue it and unglue it as many times without damaging anything at all.

 

- now place your rubber sponge side up on a flat surface. (use a clean surface below). and place the blade one the rubber in the same fashion it will be glued. remember the the company's logo on the rubber should be at the bottom where aligning with the top of the handle.

 

- now use a pen or a pencil  and mark a line along the racket head on the sponge. keep a few hairline tollerence just so you don't cut it smaller than the face of the blade.

 

- take cut the rubber along that line with a pair of scissors. do it for both rubbers.

 

- now apply a thin layer of rubber cement on the sponge.. and another thin layer on the racquet face. let it dry for a 3-5 minutes so it is dry to touch.

 

- now align the rubberon the sponge. and rol it out from bottom to top of the paddle. don't apply too much roller pressure to strech the rubber just enough to avoid bubble and have a flat surface.

 

- okay you got it. repeat the same for the other face.. and then let it dry under some books for about an hour.

 

that's it.. you got yout prefect racquet.. and if you still want to waste money.. you can redo it from any shop as many times :) it will still be the same.
