i have been playing table tennis for about a year now, and i dont know a thing about rubbers blades and so on. i have about 300 dollars (australian) and im am wondering what i should get. i am quite an agresive player on my forhand. my backhand is less agresive and when a move away from the table i usually move to my backhand and chop block alot.
does anyone have any sugestions.

Okay, this is a suggestion only, But because of where you live. Try oneofakind. haggisv is very knowledgable. (no offense to the others, just my opinion is based on what ive read the last few weeks from him)
I would also suggest small changes at first with rubber sheets. They are going to be some $$$$s spent but you dont want to waste your $$$$s.
If you go with something too fast you'll hate it. ifyou go baby steps you cannot go wrong(considering what you have now).I have to believe what you have now rates about 8 on all catagories at most.
Dont get too hasty, get a bat that is all around and rubbers around all/off catagories.Example:
Whoops, forgot ot ask; shake or pen?

Maybe a Donic WALDNER Senso V1 with 729 lightning 2.0mm on both sides to start. Blade $39.00 US and rubbers $14.00 a sheet US. total $67.00 US.
I say chinese rubbers cuz they're cheaper to try different styles during your transition. Hopfully haggisv is reading this topic and can offer his opinion on what he carries.

good call yogi.
I was thinking mark v as well.
The only reason I said 729 was cost.
If Drew wants, zeropong.com has lightning for $5.00 US a sheet. "dont know what shipping cost to AU"

i dont think there is much diff. in spin bet the mendo and evo although mendo is a bit faster than evo.. don't worry too much about speed and spin with your level rather concentrate on developing more of your skills and strokes.. we recommended mendo and mark v as well as other rubbers like ritc 729 because its been proven and tested that you cannot go wrong with those rubbers and they are time tested to give better performance.. otherwise you can be an EJ and try everything out yourself

btw, don't believe everythign about what you read on stigas ratings rather ask the ppl who have tried their rubbers and blades.. many of their rubber ratings are kinda biased esp. that they give an increasing ratings on the speed and spin of their rubbers

Do you play a close to the table game? or do you prefer to play from mid distance?
What weight of bat do you prefer? light for clsoe to the table game using quickreflexes or medium/heavy to have speed and power for mid distance looping game? |

i ususaly play mid distance but i move around a lot so it depends on who im versing. i only have had that one bat before so i guess i would prefer something a bit lighter. the bat ive got is quite heavy compaired to my mates.
