I got tired of using my stiga tube aluminum coz i couldn't control it that much nowadays since i only play 1x a week (bz in reviewing for my nursing board exams). So i looked for a blade that is a bit slower than the tube aluminum but has sufficient control and speed and much lighter than the tube alu.. anyways, ive always wanted to try waldner carbon senso (coz im a waldner fan) and because the tube alum with skyline and globe999t is head heavy.
observations: 1. 85 grams wt -1+1 gm, it can still be head heavy but not as head heavy as wrb blades. 2. the blade size is smaller than the tube alu or any other stiga blades, i transfered my skyline 3 with an avalox purot 45 deg but its not as heavy compared to my former set up.. its about 8-10 grams lighter. 3. the handle is very comfortable its as long as stiga handles but way more comfortable esp. on the neck of the handle which i find in stiga blades a lil bit wide that interferes sometimes with my grip (esp. the master flared handle) 4. the feel of this blade is a bit more woody than that of the carbon.. it is stiff yes but there is a amount of feedback and feel clearly coming from the blade every time the ball comes into contact.. the sweet spot is big enough but i don't feel like its a carbon blade while playing 5. the speed of this blade is good enough. you will not expect a tube alu speed from this much more a gergely or primorac carbon speed.. i would rate this blade as OFF not OFF+. it seems that the clipper cr has more or less the same speed with this blade.. lets just say that the required speed and power to produce powerful shots are there with a little bit of effort. 6. the control of this blade is the best feature, for a carbon blade it has one of the best control ever.. this blade is build for control and i suggest that if you want a fast set up with lots of control simply choose this blade and place fast rubbers like bryce etc! i always do placement shots like fh curve loop and inside out bh loop and the first time i use this i noticed that i have better control compared to my previous set up. 7. attacking with this blade is easy esp. lifting heavy backspins and counter attacking near and away from the table. recommendations: this blade is for ppl who empahisize on control with good speed plus good feel. this blade is for ppl who wants to use very fast rubbers but still maintain a bit more control.. this blade is truly awesome no wonder waldner loves this blade: ratings: speed - 8 out of 10 power - 8 out of 10 control - 9 out of 10 |
